Art Review

The Snail (1953) By Henri Matisse This Art bunk was made by an artist called Henri Matisse and is called The Snail. The Snail, I chose this art work because I horizon it was ridiculous, and well presented. It is a collage, which is different because I personally perpetually confabm to be attracted to the same style of work consistently, which be paintings that bespeak blending, tone, texture and images of nature, like fruits, flowers etc; whereas with this work there is a cathode-ray osc grislyoscope of colours, opposites and they are clashing. The artist has chosen to represent a garner through the use of square like shapes, this shows originality. To be sound I dont really see the garner however some people do, I cogitate thats really cool that people can grok this work in various ways, which is amazing and quite intriguing. He has chosen bright, vibrant colours which attracted my attention which is one of the reasons wherefore I chose this; it in addition tells us a lot round Henri, it represents his personality. He has presented himself as optimistic, a simple guy, laid suffer and calm.

Im not the sort of person who enjoys collage experimenting, but I just thought that this work creates a peaceful mood. This work may appear lazy, In 1953 Matisse was in earnest ill in hospital and was determined to create a mankind of art work while admitted there, with the help of his assistant, Henri managed to pull in The Snail by instructing him/her where to place the tern shapes of paper which have already been painted by gouache in the specific positions he cunning them to be placed in and ended up with the uncomparable work abo! ve.
